  1. Srinivas, Nice Article.
I`m planning to work on Sitecore 8.1 architecture for Microsoft Azure and looking for assistance.
Any information that you can share on:
    a) Do we need a local SQL Master, core and web for each Content Delivery Server placed in Production?

    b) Will DB in cloud will be common for Production, Staging & Test Environment?

    c) Blueprint on Site core 8 deployment for different environments in Microsoft Azure?

    d) Is Azure Redis Cache mandatory in UAT, DEV & Test Environment too?

    1. a) Do we need a local SQL Master, core and web for each Content Delivery Server placed in Production?
IN CD servers you just need Core and Web DB. Master is not required.

      b) Will DB in cloud will be common for Production, Staging & Test Environment?
Technically the Production DB should always be separate. Also, its best to keep sperate DB’s for Staging and QA as you can address the CR’s.

      c) Blueprint on Site core 8 deployment for different environments in Microsoft Azure?
You could easily perform blueprint of Sitecore 8 for QA, Staging, and production in Azure. You could reach us out through mail(info@askmein.com) for details.

      d) Is Azure Redis Cache mandatory in UAT, DEV & Test Environment too?
No, It’s only required for Production. Make sure that you have different configs for each environment.
